Zaner-Bloser, a Highlights company, is an educational products company based in Columbus, Ohio. In response to Ohio House Bill 146, which calls for cursive handwriting-instruction to be mandatory in all Ohio schools, I was commissioned to design an infographic showing Zaner-Bloser’s impact on the economy and the local community.
I was commissioned by SBC Advertising to make two illustrations for the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority. These illustrations appeared on a pocket folder that students take back and forth from school to home.

In response to the Missouri State Board of Education passing measures that strengthened handwriting instruction statewide, I designed a postcard that was sent to administrators throughout the state of Missouri. In addition, I designed an ad that appeared in The Missouri Elementary Principal, the official magazine of the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals (MAESP).
Staff Development for Educators (SDE) is one of America’s leading providers of professional development for PreK through Grade 12 educators. Each year they hold a conference in which Zaner-Bloser and Superkids have a booth. Zaner-Bloser bought Superkids in 2015 and wanted a way to let conference attendees know about the acquisition. To help solve this problem, I designed and illustrated a stampable “passport” that would be available at each booth. After receiving a stamp from each booth, the conference attendees would receive a Starbucks gift card.

The Superkids Reading program is a core literacy curriculum for kindergarten through second grade that teaches all aspects of reading seamlessly integrated with the language arts. In addition, Superkids provides professional development training for educators. For this program, I designed two brochures. The first brochure lists complimentary services offered while the second brochure lists all the for pay services.
In addition to in-person sessions, Superkids professional development also offered online training and implementation sessions. To advertise these services, I designed a flyer as well as a responsive email and landing page.
The International Literacy Association (ILA) is a global advocacy and
membership organization dedicated to transforming lives through literacy. Each year they hold a conference in which Zaner-Bloser has a booth. For the 2015 conference, I designed and illustrated a proposed mural for the booth panels, showing the Zaner-Bloser family of products as a map.
